What is Lobshot?
Lobshot is a pass-and-play artillery duel for Playdate. Two players share one device and take turns: crank to aim, hold A to charge, let go to lob, then hand it over.
Eleven fighters each bring an ultimate with an anime-style cut-in, from Fenn's bouncing shell to Neko's panic button. Eight arenas each have their own soundtrack, every shell digs a crater, and when a shot is about to land, time slows down so you can watch it hit.
How to play
- Pick your fighters
Player 1 picks, player 2 picks, then choose an arena. Press Up to roll a new layout.
- Crank to aim
Set the angle anywhere from 0 to 90 degrees. A dotted arc previews the shot and grows as you charge.
- Hold A, let go
Hold A to charge and release to fire. Turn the crank mid-flight to add spin and bend the shot.
- Move and use items
Left and right walk a short way each turn. Up and down pick an item or your ultimate, and B uses it.
- Read the wind
The windsock shows which way it blows and how hard. Supply crates parachute in every 2 turns.
- Pass it over
Each turn lasts 30 seconds, then hand the Playdate to your friend. Knock your rival out, or off the map, to win.
